O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025 seeking issuance of allotment and patta in favour of the petitioner with respect to subject property and pass orders on the same.

2. Mr.T.M.Rajangam, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 & 3 and Mr.G.Sivakumar, learned Counsel takes notice on behalf of 2nd respondent.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner being a long time resident of tondiarpet area in Chnnai, had purchased a subject property from one Veerappa Naikar @ Keral Veerappa Baikar, along with a co-purchaser viz.,P.Panchavarnam for a sum of Rs80,000/- in the year 1995. The said Panchavarnam had sold her share of her property to the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner had approached the TNSCB for issuance of allotment and patta with respect to the above property in favour of the petitioner by addressing a 2/6

representation dated 01.09.2025 to respondents 2 & 3. However, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 & 3 as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents 2 & 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous 3/6

2. This Writ Petition was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 26.09.2025. However, inadvertently in the prayer portion, a particular line has been omitted to be typed. Therefore, the prayer portion of the said order shall stand replaced as under:- "Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to issue patta in Favour petitioner property to the extent of 1238 sq.ft, comprising of Old Door No.12.
