ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The allegation in this case is that on 20.06.1993, the accused had murdered one Annadurai. Since he deprecated his conduct of repeatedly asking money from him. The allegation is that the accused took out a knife and stabbed the deceased in his abdomen and caused fatal injury. The relatives of the deceased also submit that the accused is unheard from the said date and does not want to pursue the case.

3.Be that as it may. Since, the offence is serious in nature the Court cannot go by the version of the relatives of the deceased alone. However, it can be seen that the occurrence happened in the year 1993 and 32 years have gone by. 4. Accordingly, the case in S.C.No.100253 of 1995 of Principal District Court, Chengalpattu Taluk, Chengalpattu, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
