ORDER
This petition has been filed to to pass appropriate direction directing the II Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai to expedite the Trial and dispose of OP No. 1518 of 2017 pending on the file of the II Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai, within a time frame.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submit that the respondent has wilfully dragging the case either by seeking time for filing counter or absenting himself from attending the proceeding before the Court. Furthermore, without any valid reason the respondent refrain from the OP proceedings but the Court below failed to appreciate the above facts. Further, the petitioner is affected with psychological problems and hence it is very much necessary for disposal of the aforesaid pending proceedings to move ahead in her life and also the petitioner is the only bread winner of the family and since she is forced to appear for each and every hearing. Hence, he prays for speedy disposal of the OP proceedings.
3. Considering the fact of the case there was no progress in the case for more than five years. Hence, the Trial Court is directed to dispose of the case within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order without any unnecessary adjournments. Furthermore, if any applications pending with regard to renewal of passport, the Trial court shall dispose of the same within a period of one week.
4. In the result, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No cost. Consequentially, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 12.12.2023 pbl
