ORDER

This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in S.C.No.131 of 2022 on the file of the learned District and Sessions Judge, Nagapattinam, and consequently direct some other officer of agency other than the respondent police to further investigate the case in Crime No.532 of 2021 on the file of the Vedaranyam Police Station, Nagapattinam District.

On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the sole accused in S.C.No.131 of 2022 died and as such the case has been dismissed as abated. Hence, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous.
