O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 23.08.2019 seeking for promotion to the post of Maistry.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was appointed as a casual labour in the District Live Stock Farm at Hosur in 1996. The petitioner was brought under regular time scale of pay in the year 2011 and he was appointed as Animal Husbandry Assistant in the Veterinary Dispensary, Morapur, Arur Taluk.

3. The petitioner gave a representation to the first respondent seeking for promotion to the next level on the ground that he has been stagnating in the same post for a long time. Since the representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. Heard Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 23.08.2019 and deal with the same on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight(8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation before the first respondent along with a copy of the representation dated 18.10.2019 and also the forwarding letter of the second respondent dated 21.10.2019 along with a copy of this order.

6. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
