Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to enlarge the petitioner herein on bail in S.C.No.87 of 2023, on the file of the learned III Additional Sessions Judge, Puducherry in connection with the Crime No.185 of 2021, on the file of the respondent Police.

2. The respondent police has registered the F.I.R as against the petitioner/accused for the offence punishable u/s 120B,109,147,148,341,302 of I.P.C and Section 3 and 4 of Explosive Substances Act, 1908 r/w 301, 149 of I.P.C

3. It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had been in judicial custody in crime no.185 of 2021 and had been released only on 09.11.2021. It is stated that he had been arrested on execution of NBW on 05.09.2023. The learned counsel for the petitioner further stated that the petitioner had been obtained bail in all the other cases in which he has been arrayed as an accused. 1/3

4. The learned Government Advocate stated that the trial is in progress and it is now at the stage of examining the Investigating Officer.

5. At this stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail. However, the learned III Additional Sessions Judge at Puducherry is directed to complete the trial on or before 28.02.2024. The learned counsel for the accused is directed to complete the cross examination of witnessess without taking unnecessary adjournments.
