PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the safety and security of the petitioner on the basis of the complaint dated 26.11.2019. O R D E R

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the 3rd respondent has filed a Civil Suit against the petitioner in O.S.No.5 of 2019 on the file of the Principal District Judge, Salem seeking damages of Rs.10,00,000 and other reliefs. It is further submitted that when the petitioner was going to attend the Court in OS.No.5 of 2019, the 3rd respondent threatened him and hence the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the 2nd respondent on 26.11.2019, but so far no action has been taken on the complaint.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

since a Civil Suit is pending between the petitioner and the 3rd respondent, the 2nd respondent has not disposed of the petitioner's complaint.

3. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the 2nd respondent is directed to call both the parties and enquire with regard to the petitioner's complaint dated 26.11.2019 and dispose of in accordance with law.

4. With the afore direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed.
