O R D E R

The petitioner, who had applied for grant of patta in respect of 0.80 cents in New Survey No.186/10 and 2 acres and 94 cents in New Survey No.186/8, Periyeri Village, Thalaivasal Taluk, Salem District on 09.05.2022 and whose application is yet to be processed, is before this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. Considering the limited request and also taking note of the fact that though the application for grant of patta has been made nearly two and a half years ago and the 4th respondent has failed to process the said application to date, a mandamus is issued directing the 4th respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.05.2022 and pass orders after hearing the petitioner and perusing the records. In case of a rejecting a speaking order shall be passed. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of 2/4

this order.
