ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry on the complaint of Mrs.Madhumitha, D/o.Elumalai.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the first petitioner's wife namely Madhumitha gave a false complaint against the petitioners. Based on the same, the respondent is unnecessarily harassing the petitioners.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that one Madhumitha who is the wife of the first petitioner has lodged a complaint and only for enquiry purpose in the said complaint, the petitioners were called and they were not subjected to any harassment.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to enquire the complainant with regard to her complaint and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

he has to register an FIR and proceed in accordance with law, instead of that he should not unnecessarily harass the petitioners.

5. With the aforesaid directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
