Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2023 to consider the application dated 26.03.2023 for renewal of License F.L.3.No.15/2001-2002 vide R.Dis.P&E V(1)/11281/2001 for possession of Liquor by Star Hotels for supply to foreign tourists, foreigners, resident in India and also citizens of India for consumption within the licensed room of the hotel or for removal to their private 1/4

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2023.

2. Mr.S.Ravikumar, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had made a representation dated 03.11.2023 for renewal of License F.L.3.No.15/2001-2002 vide R.Dis.P&E V(1)/11281/2001 for possession of Liquor by Star Hotels. However, the respondent had not considered the said representation till date. Hence, this writ petition. 2/4

4. The learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the representation will be considered at the earliest in accordance with law.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondent and also perused the materials available on record.

6. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2023 on or before 01.01.2024.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
