ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the 2 nd respondent police to grant police protection for setting up the fencing around the petitioner's property situated at Villupuram District, Vikkiravandi Taluk, Orathur Village, Naththam Survey No.52/19 measuring and extent of 5 cents.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police and perused the materials available on record.

3. Since no adverse order is being passed against the 3 rd respondent, notice to the 3 rd respondent is dispensed with.

4. The present petition is filed seeking police protection for fencing the petitioner's Patta land. It is made clear that, if the petitioner has got any grievance against the private respondent herein or if the petitioner is prevented from any of his legal rights by any of the third party, he shall approach the civil Court in the manner known to law. The Police cannot give protection to the 2/4

property of every individual especially when the dispute is civil in nature. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.

6. The petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
