The petitioners, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 21(d,h) of Tamil Nadu Forest Act 1882 and Section 9,50,51 and 52 of Tamil Nadu Wild Life Protection Act 1972 in Sathanur Dam O.R.No.12 of 2023 on the file of the respondent seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is stated that the respondent had seized a country made gun from the house of A2 and he was arrested. Based on the confession statement given by A2 the other petitioners have been arrested.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that A2 had been arrested and granted bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate( crl side) appearing for the respondent submitted that that the petitioner and other accused 1/3

without prior permission from the official concerned hunted wild animals by using country made gun. He further submitted that investigation has not been completed.

5. Considering the nature of offence committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 31.01.2024 smn 2/3
