This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to conduct further investigation and include all the offences as stated in the complaint dated 16.11.2024 on the file of the third respondent.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents/Police and perused the materials available on record.

3. F.I.R is not an encyclopaedia and it is only an information to set the law into motion. Based on the information, it is the duty of the Investigating Officer to investigate the matter and record the statement of all the witnesses and file a final report. There is no provision to show that an F.I.R should indicate the section of all offences. However, the complaint itself sets the law in motion. At the time of investigation, after collecting all the materials, while filing the charge sheet, the Station

House Officer incharge has to find out the commission of offence and he has to file charge sheet. This Court does not find any merit in the Criminal Original Petition.

4. In view of the same, The Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. The petitioner is at liberty to workout his remedy in the manner known to law after filing the charge sheet. 09.12.2024 mfa Index:Yes/No Speaking Order: Yes/No To
