ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to consider the representation dated 19.08.2025 and to direct the respondents to immediately restore the temporary electricity connection bearing service connection No.03-181- 005- 2142 at Survey No. 185/4 Chettipalayam Village, Angaraipalayam Post, Tirupur District and consequently convert the same to permanent electricity connection within a specified time frame.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he is the absolute owner of the property, bearing Survey No. 185/4 Chettipalayam Village, Angaraipalayam 2/6

Post, Tirupur District and he has been regularly paying electricity bills for the past one year without any default or delay. The grievance of the petitioner is that as the electricity connection was disconnected by the respondents, without any prior notice or intimation, he has submitted a representation dated 19.08.2025 to the respondents requesting conversion of his temporary connection to permanent connection and restoration of the disconnected service, providing all the necessary supporting documents including property documents and Aadhaar card. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court. 3.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner has been paying regularly the electricity bills, the respondents disconnected the electricity service of the petitioner.

Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation dated 19.08.2025 to the respondents requesting conversion of his temporary connection to permanent connection and restoration of the disconnected service. Now, the petitioner is willing to submit an application to the respondents requesting for fresh electricity connection.

4.Mr.Jaivenkatesh, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of respondents, submits that if the petitioner submits an application for fresh electricity connection, the same will be considered, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

5.Considering the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the petitioner to submit an application for getting fresh electricity connection. On receipt of the same, the respondents shall consider the application to be filed by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 4/6
