Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and dispose the representation made by the petitioner on 01.07.2025 and 02.09.2025 respectively to consider and reinstate the petitioner as 1/7

ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed for the relief of a Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the representations made by the petitioner on 01.07.2025 and 02.09.2025 and reinstate the petitioner as Village Assistant, anywhere within the Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District, within a time frame.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was selected to the post of Village Assistant through District Employment Office, Kancheepuram vide letter dated 04.08.2017. The Tahsildar, Thiruporur Taluk, by his proceeding dated 20.09.2018 issued appointment order to the petitioner 2/7

and the petitioner was posted at Arunkundram Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District. The petitioner joined the service on 02.02.2018 and was discharging unblemished service.

3. While so, based on a false complaint given by one Thenmozhi, W/o. Palani, the petitioner was arrested for accepting bribe. Thereafter, the petitioner got bail and was released from custody. The petitioner would submit that based on the said allegation, he was suspended from service by the Tahsildar, Thiruporur vide proceeding dated 19.03.2025. The petitioner would submit that he could not maintain his family without any income. Therefore, the petitioner made representations dated 01.07.2025 and 02.09.2025 to the respondents seeking revocation of the suspension order. Aggrieved by the inaction on the side of the respondents, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsels on the either side and perused the records.

5. It is the grievance of the petitioner that he was suspended based on a false complaint given by one Thenmozhi. The petitioner was suspended from service on 19.03.2025 and he has made representations on 01.07.2025 and 02.09.2025. Since there is no response, the petitioner is before this Court.

Considering the fact that the petitioner has been suspended from service on 19.03.2025 and also the fact that he has made a representation as early as on 01.07.2025 and the same has not been considered till date, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 01.07.2025, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. 4/7

Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
