ORDER
This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to direct the 2 nd respondent to cancel the revenue records such as TSLR etc, in the name of the st respondent and restore the same in the name of the petitioner with respect to the petitioners land in Old S.Nos.54, 59 and 53 parts and in T.S.No.4865/1,
measuring 8 grounds and 1280 sq.ft or 18 Ares 94 Sq.mts, situated at Old No.7, New No.42/22, Raman street, T.Nagar, Chennai-600 017 by disposing the petitioner's Appeal dated 07.8.2024 pending before the 2 nd respondent after giving due opportunity of hearing and within a time frame. 2.Mr.A.Arunbabu, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the st respondent and Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 2 & 3. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 1 st respondent and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 2 & 3.
4.The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the appeal filed by the petitioner on 07.08.2024 has not been disposed by the 2 nd respondent till date.
5.This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the 2 nd respondent to consider and decide the appeal on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the 2 nd respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner on 07.08.2025 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be carried out by the 2 nd respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
