Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records relating to the impugned order passed by the 2nd respondent in Ref. Ni.MuNo. 2782/ 2022/ A dated 22.10.2024 cancelling the patta standing in the name of the petitioner in respect of Survey No. 300/ 1A1A and 300/ 1A1B situated at Mugaiyyur Village, Lathur Block, Cheyyur Taluk, Chengalpet 1/4

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed against the order passed by the second respondent dated 22.10.2024.

On perusal of records, it is revealed that against the impugned order passed by the second respondent, there is appeal remedy before the District Revenue Officer and the appeal to be filed within a period of 30 days. However, the petitioner failed to file an appeal and directly approached this Court.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, the petitioner is at liberty to file an appeal against the impugned order passed by the second respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order before the District Revenue Officer. On 2/4

receipt of the same, the District Revenue Officer is directed to entertain the said appeal and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law after giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the appeal. 4.

With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
