ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2025.

2. The petitioner is a physically challenged person. His father was running bunk shop. He passed on. Thereafter, the petitioner continued with the said business.

3. The petitioner came to understand that the respondent is developing a commercial complex at Beach Road in Cuddalore. Invoking Section 37 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, he sought for allotment of a shop in his favour. As the same was not considered, he has come forward with the present writ petition.

4. When the matter came up for admission, I requested Dr.Seenivasan to takes notice and report to the Court on the stand of the respondent. Dr.Seenivasan has produced the instructions, which are scanned and extracted hereunder:

Dr. Seenivasan states that in compliance with the 2016 legislation once the construction is completed, the respondent will consider the applications in terms of the Rule of Reservation found under Section 37 of the Rights of Persons With Disabilities Act, 2016 and make appropriate allotments to persons with disability.

7. This writ petition is disposed of. No costs . Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
