ORDER

Challenging the final report filed in S.C.No.587 of 2025 on the file of the Magalir Neethimandram, Allikulam, Chennai for the offences under sections 323, 376[1] and 506[ii] of IPC, the present Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

2. The petitioner seeks to quash the final report filed against him for the offences under sections 323, 376[1] and 506[ii] of IPC. The allegation against the petitioner in the First Information Report is that when the defacto complainant approached the accused seeking an accommodation in the women's hostel, the accused, under the pretext of showing her a room, took her to a room, pushed her and committed the offence of rape. The same allegation is

reiterated in the statement of the defacto complainant recorded under section 161 [iii] Cr.P.C.

3. Now the parties want to compromise the issue. Considering the nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to quash the proceedings against the petitioner. Let the trial Court proceed with the proceedings to see its logical end.
