3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner and his brother inherited land from their late father viz., Muniyappa in S.No.101/6, Odiyandahalli Village, Dhenkanikottai Taluk, Krishnagiri District. In the year 2019, a portion of 2907 sq.mt was acquired by the National Highways Department for a four land project and the same was subdivided as S.Nos.101/6A and 101/6B. Out of the land acquired, 1683 sq.mt belonged to petitioner and 1224 sq.mt belonged to his brother. While his brother accepted the compensation at Rs.32.30/- per sq.mt, the petitioner refused to accept the same, demanding compensation at the prevailing rate of Rs.1103/- per sq.mt, which had been given to landowners in adjoining survey numbers.
Despite his objection, the respondents took possession of his land in 2021 and laid the road without settling his rightful compensation. In this regard, the petitioner made a representation dated 04.08.2025 before the first respondent, seeking adequate compensation for the acquired lands on par with compensation amount given to the land owners in the adjoining survey numbers. However, the same was not considered, as on date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.
4. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.08.2025.
5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 04.08.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders passed, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
7. Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
