Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records in C3/D/O./70/2023 on the file of the second respondent, quash the detention order dated 29.10.2023 and produce the detenu Jiyavudeen,son of Pakrudeen, presently detained at the Central Prison, Cuddalore as a Bootlegger under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty. The petitioner, wife of the detenu, namely Jiyavudeen, aged 49 years, S/o. Pakrudeen, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 29.10.2023 slapped on her husband, branding him as "Bootlegger" as contemplated under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the husband of the petitioner herein dated 29.10.2023 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.7286, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XI) Department, dated 26.12.2023 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
