The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent Police to conduct further investigation and file a final report in 1/4

connection with Crime No.276 of 2025 before the appropriate Court within a stipulated time.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though, based on the complaint given by the petitioner/de facto complainant, the respondent Police registered a case in Crime No.276 of 2025 under Section 194 BNSS for the suicidal death of the petitioner's son, the investigation has not been completed. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, submitted that the investigation is in progress and that the mobile phone of the deceased, which was seized from the petitioner, has been sent to the Forensic Department for analysis. He further submitted that the respondent Police will complete the investigation and file the final report at the earliest. 4.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents.

In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that the respondent Police are conducting the investigation properly. Therefore, no further directions are required in this case. The prosecution shall proceed with the investigation in the manner known to law and file the final report as expeditiously as possible.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
