ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondent to forthwtih process the application for sub-division patta transfer vide 1/6

Application bearing No.2025/0154/12/006015.

2. Mrs.S.Indhu Bala, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioners is that the petitioners are the absolute owners of the vacant land to an extent of 70 cents 322 sq.f.t, comprised in SF No.41/2 at Sanganoor Village, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore by virtue of Registered Settlement Deed dated 01.07.2022. This being the case, the first petitioner's husband made an online Application to the respondent on 06.08.2025 for sub-division of the above said land and also paid the appropriate fee. However, no action was taken. Hence, the petitioners have come forward with the present writ petition.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondent to consider the online Application dated 06.08.2025 for sub-division patta transfer and 2/6

issue separate patta for the aforesaid property.

5. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the online Application dated 06.08.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders passed, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court directs the respondent to conduct sub division process in the said property and issue individual patta, after giving due notice and opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners as well as aggrieved persons, if any, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to say, in case of any obstruction being created by third parties, the respondent is at liberty to approach the Police officials, in which case, the Police officials shall render assistance to the respondent to carry out the aforesaid exercise. 3/6

8. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
