Heard learned counsel for the respective parties.
These applications are filed by the claimants for extension of time to decide the arbitration proceedings.
Learned counsel appearing for the applicants and learned counsel appearing for the respective non-applicants accept that the pleadings, as yet, have not been completed before the arbitrator. The non-applicants have filed applications under Section 16 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. As the pleadings are not yet completed, the time would not stop running.
These applications, as such, are pre-mature.
The applications, accordingly, stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
