ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to to consider and pass orders on the written representation made by the petitioner on 09.01.2025.
2. Mr.V.Umakanth, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that, he joined the services of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation, Tanjore on 22.01.1979 and was later appointed as Salesman in the 3rd respondent society on 07.01.1987. Subsequently, the petitioner retired from service on 30.06.2010, after rendering 31 years of unblemished service. However, the petitioner has been 2/6
paid only a sum of Rs.35,044/- towards retirement benefits, after deducting a sum of Rs.26,650/-, without assigning any valid reason. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner made several representations before the respondents along with certain documents to show that the said deduction is illegal and thereby, sought for payment of differential amount and the last representation made by the petitioner in this regard was on 09.01.2025. However, till date, no action has been taken by the respondents. Hence the present writ petition.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2025 and pass orders on the same, as expeditiously as possible.
5. Learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that appropriate orders will be passed on the petitioner's representation within the time stipulated by this Court. 3/6

Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and aggrieved persons, if any.
7. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
