This writ petition has been filed for direction to the 2nd respondent herein to survey the petitioner's land in New survey No. 4835/3, Old survey Nos.49, 58/2, 50 and 57 parts, situated in Theagaraya Nagar, Chennai measuring an extent of 19.05 Acres with metes and bounds and to issue patta for the same in view of the petitioner's representation dated 01.08.2025 and the petitioner's application dated 05.08.2025 2.

The petitioner owns land in New survey No. 4835/3, Old survey Nos.49, 58/2, 50 and 57 parts, situated in Theagaraya Nagar, Chennai measuring an extent of 19.05 Acres. In order to survey the said land, the petitioner submitted an application before the respondents. So far they did not take any step to survey and demarcate the land belongs to the petitioner. Hence, this writ petition.

In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to survey the petitioner's aforesaid land based on the title deed produced by the petitioner, after issuance of notice to the adjacent land owners and counter parties, if any, and to serve the survey report to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of this order. It is made clear that, if the surveyor concerned is obstructed by third parties while surveying the subject land, the said surveyor can approach the jurisdictional police seeking police aid and on such request, the 3/5
jurisdictional police shall provide adequate police protection to the surveyor.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
