ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to grant a general direction directing the 2nd respondent to file a final report pertaining to the detention of the detenue by name Mariyammal and in pursuance direct the IV Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai to dispose of Crl.M.P.No.not known of 2019 in Crime No.70 of 2019 as expeditiously.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the first respondent police registered a case against the owner of the beauty parlour in which victim woman has worked, in Cr.No.70 of 2019 under Sections 3(2)(a), 4(1) and 5(1)(a) of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act and produced the victim woman before the IV Metropolitan Magistrate at Saidapet, Chennai and sent to the custody of the third respondent Home. He further submitted that the victim woman is the petitioner's wife and she was not involved in any immoral activities. He further submitted that the petitioner has filed Crl.MP.No.Not known of 2019 before the IV Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Saidapet, Chennai, to release his wife and the same is pending for P.O report and hence, he prayed to direct the second respondent to file a report immediately and also direct the IV Metropolitan Magistrate at Saidapet, Chennai, to dispose of the Crl.M.P.No.Not known of 2019 in Cr.No.70 of 2019 as expeditiously.

3. Considering the aforesaid submission, the second respondent is directed to file a report within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter the learned IV Metropolitan Magistrate at Saidapet, Chennai, has to dispose of the petition within three days.

4. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
