This petition has been filed to strike off the defence and dismiss the appeals for non-payment of the interim maintenance as awarded by the Family Court.

2.Mr.P.Balachandar representing Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the husband will pay the maintenance within a period of eight weeks from today. 3.The appellant has no right to prosecute the appeal without paying the interim maintenance as awarded by the Family Court. However, since the learned counsel for the respondent assures us that the arrears of maintenance would be paid within a period of eight weeks from today, we accept the statement and disposed of this petition as follows:

i) the arrears of maintenance up to the date of payment shall be paid within a period of eight weeks from today. If it is not paid within a period of eight weeks, the appeals will stand dismissed without any further reference to this Court.
