The petitioner herein seeks a direction to 2nd respondent to give electricity service connection to the petitioner's house situated in S.No.102/1A, Keezhavedu village, Nenmeli, Meleripakkam Post, Thirukazhukundram Taluk, Chengalpattu District.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that her property situated in poramboke land. She submitted a representation seeking electricity service connection for her property and the same has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court.
3. Mr.L.Jai.Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel (TNEB), who takes notice for the respondents would submit that petitioner has not filed proper application for service connection. The learned Standing Counsel, by relying on Clause 27(12) of Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, submits that in cases where the premises situated in a poramboke land, the applicant shall produce No Objection Certificate from the concerned department. Further, the applicant has to execute indemnity bond in Form-6 and also pay security deposit twice the normal rate.

4. In view of the said submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, the petitioner is directed to file proper online application seeking electricity service connection within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this Order.
5. It is needless to say that petitioner shall comply with the conditions mentioned in Clause 27(12) of Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code. In the event of such compliance, the application submitted by the petitioner shall be considered by the 2nd respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of such application.
6. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
