This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent to to consider and pass orders on the written representation made by the petitioner on 08.07.2025.

2. Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that, he was appointed as a Physical Education Teacher (in short 'P.E.T.') on 13.03.1991 at G.T.R. Higher Secondary School, Gomugi Dam, Kallakurichi District. During his service, he was transferred to various schools and he subsequently retired from service on 31.07.2017, with one year extension till 30.05.2018. Despite serving as a P.E.T. for more than 26 years, the petitioner has not been granted any promotion. Hence, the petitioner submitted several representations before the respondent seeking notional promotion to the post of Physical Director and the final representation made by the petitioner in 2/5

this regard was on 08.07.2025. However, till date, no orders have been passed by the respondent on the said written representation. Hence the present writ petition.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.07.2025 and pass orders on the same, as expeditiously as possible.

5. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent submits that appropriate orders will be passed on the petitioner's representation dated 08.07.2025 within the time stipulated by this Court.

Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after 3/5

affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and aggrieved persons, if any.

7. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
