17.12.2024 to cadre of Panchayat U1nion Coordinator in Cuddalore District with all the monetary and other benefits with continuity of service within a stipulated time as prescribed by this Honble Court. ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order dated 09.05.2025 passed by the second respondent, thereby removing the petitioner from service.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3.The petitioner was appointed as Panchayat Union Block Co-ordinator on 20.05.2008. Thereafter, the petitioner was served with a charge memo containing nine charges. Pursuant thereto, an enquiry was conducted and the petitioner was terminated from service. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner approached this Court in W.P.No.12546 of 2024, challenging the
order of termination. This Court allowed the said writ petition on the ground of violation of principles of natural justice.
4.Thereafter, the petitioner was issued a fresh show cause notice, a due enquiry was conducted and orders were passed. Once again, the second respondent passed an order as against the petitioner. Challenging the same, the petitioner approached this Court in W.P.No.5356 of 2025, wherein this Court issued direction to serve the enquiry report and show cause notice and thereafter pass fresh orders. Accordingly, the petitioner was served with a show cause notice and after passing a detailed order, the petitioner was once again terminated from service.
5.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petition does not fall under any classification of the Government employee such as Group A to D. The petitioner was only appointed as a contract employee and was terminated from service. It was further submitted that the respondent had followed all the procedures in accordance with law and also in compliance with the directions issued by this Court. It was also submitted that the charges levelled as against the petitioner are grave in nature.
6.In view of the above, this Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the order dated 09.05.2025 passed by the second respondent. Thus, the writ petition lacks merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed.
