ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed directing the II Additional District Judge, Salem to number the un-numbered time extension petition dated 14.08.2025 in CMP.No.1 of 2025 in C.A.No.55 of 2025 to deposit the conditional order amount of Rs.39,000/- dated 15.07.2025 on the file of the II Additional District Judge, Salem.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was convicted under the NI Act and on appeal, the first appellate 1/4

court passed a conditional order while suspending the sentence, viz., to pay 20% of the compensation amount to the credit of STC.No.1776/2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.VI, Salem on or before 14.08.2025. Since, the wife of the petitioner was admitted in hospital, he could not arrange the amount, hence, filed a petition before the first appellate court for extension of time, however, the same was not numbered. Hence, seeks for a direction for extension of time.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to extend the time for complying the conditions imposed by the first appellate court vide order dated 15.07.2025 in CMP.No.1 of 2025 in C.A.No.55 of 2025. Accordingly, the petitioners are granted two weeks days time from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to comply with the conditions imposed by the first appellate court.
