The writ petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent-Police to conduct a proper enquiry and proceed in accordance with law on the petitioner's complaint dated 18.12.2024 (Citizen Portal Complaint ID : EDL24611096) and reminder dated 09.09.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, he entered into an unregistered sale agreement on 05.06.2024 with Venkatesh and Vasanthi for a sum of Rs.31,00,000/- and also paid a sum of Rs.2,10,000/-. The petitioner has always ready and willing to pay the balance sale consideration and to complete the registration of the sale deed, but the said persons have deliberately refused either to execute the sale deed or to refund the advance amount. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint through online.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite the complaint dated 18.12.2024 and reminder dated 09.09.2025, no steps have been taken by the respondent-Police. Hence, the present petition. Pg.Nos.2/4

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

At the outset, this Court is of the view that if the petitioner wants to make out a case that the respondent-Police has not investigating the complaint given by him properly, it is for the petitioner to file a private complaint before the jurisdictional Magistrate concerned and he cannot file the petition seeking direction before the Court.
