ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for appointing him for the post of Sub Inspector of Police in the year 2023.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner had applied for the post of Sub Inspector of Police in the year 2023. He had cleared the written examination and he was called for physical efficiency test to be conducted on 07.11.2023. During physical efficiency test, he was not able to complete 1500 mts running within seven minutes. He had completed 1500 mts. running above seven minutes and as such, he was not given any mark. The petitioner stated that his chest was tightly fasten and hence he could not complete 1500 mts. running within seven minutes.
4. Now the entire physical efficiency test has been completed
for all the candidates, who were selected for physical efficiency test and interview IS also completed. The respondents are about to publish the selection list for the post of Sub Inspector of Police. The petitioner did not even object at the time of fastening his chest during physical efficiency test of 1500 mts running. Therefore, after having been not qualified, he cannot challenge that his chest was tightly fasten and as such, he could not complete 1500 mts. running within seven minutes. Therefore, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and the writ petition is devoid of merits and it is liable to be dismissed.
5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 04.01.2024 Internet : Yes Index : Yes/No Lpp
