Prayer : Civil Miscellaneous Appeal filed under Section 19 of the Family Court Act, 1988 to set aside the decree and judgment of the learned VI Additional Judge, Principal Family Court, Chennai passed in I.A.No.1 of 2023in O.P.No.2842 of 2020 dated 18.10.2023.
For Appellant : Mr.S.Aswin Karthikeyan *********** 1/4

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) Challenge is to the order of the Family Court granting Rs.5,000/- each, per month, as maintenance to the wife and two children of the appellant.
2. Admittedly the appellant is earning about Rs.63,000/-. The learned counsel for the appellant would submit that the appellant has got liabilities and therefore the meagre amount of Rs.5,000/- each to the wife and children is on the higher side.
3. We find that the husband is working as Special Sub-Inspector/ Head Constable in Egmore Police Station. Considering the status of the appellant, the maintenance granted, according to us, is on the lower side. Hence, we do not see any merit in the appeal and the appeal is therefore dismissed. No costs.
