Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 praying to punish the respondents 1 to 3 for wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 03.06.2025 passed in W.P.No.18065 of 2025. For Petitioner:

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by P.Velmurugan J.) Alleging wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 03.06.2025 on the part of the respondents 1 to 3, the present contempt petition has been filed before this Court.

2. The petitioner, appearing in person, would submit that the order of this Court has not been complied with in letter and spirit and though the official respondents found that the fourth respondent had put up the illegal structure unauthorisedly and there have been deviations, still they have not taken any action to remove the illegal construction/deviations, as the case may be.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that based on the order passed by this Court dated 03.06.2025, the official respondents conducted enquiry and issued the Form-V

notice dated 25.08.2025 directing the fourth respondent to discontinue the subject building and also subsequently locked and sealed the subject building on 04.09.2025. Challenging the said order, the fourth respondent preferred a revision under Section 80-A of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971 before the Government, which was disposed of by the Government on 11.12.2025 after giving opportunity to all the parties concerned. Now challenging the said order, Writ Petition No.357 of 2026 filed by one Mr.S.Ramesh Kumar in respect of the subject building is pending before the writ Court. Therefore, leaving it open to the petitioner to workout his remedy in the pending Writ Petition No.357 of 2026, this contempt petition stands closed. (P.VELMURUGAN J.)
