2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the affidavit of the Inspector of Police/respondent was filed and the relevant portion is extracted hereunder :

"7. It is submitted that after completion of investigation, on 13.09.2025, Tr.Kuppusamy, Sub Inspector of Police have filed the final report through e-filing vide LTN20230001097C202500283 before the XVII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet and the same was yet to be taken on file".

3. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the XVII Judicial Magistrate, Saidapet, to act upon the final report filed by the respondent Police in Crime No.396/2018, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
