ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's application dated 12.09.2003 for issuance of patta in S.Nos.186/3, 192/3, 347/1, 347/2, 352/2c, 353/2c, 359, 360/2 of the properties situated at Perampattu Village, Thirupathur Taluk, Thirupathur District.

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2003 within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

3. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 12.09.2003 if the application is otherwise in order and conduct enquiry summarily in the manner known to law and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice and opportunity of 2/4

hearing to the petitioner and interested parties/rival claimants if any, and issue patta to the petitioner if the petitioner is otherwise eligible. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
