By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 4 and 5 to disburse the pending dues payable to the petitioner's husband for works carried out in Zone-XIV of Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Chennai-600041.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's husband was a registered Class - V Contractor for the Respondents-Board and he carried out various contract works like pipe laying works, electrical, mechanical and erection works for the respondents-Board. However, the dues payable to petitioner's husband for the works carried out by him are not settled. Subsequently, the petitioner's husband died on 11.09.2024. The petitioner in her capacity as a legal heir of deceased husband, submitted a representation dated 22.10.2024 requesting the respondents to settle the amount due to the petitioner's husband for the completed contract work in Zone-XIV of the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board. The said representation has not been considered by the respondents till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Mr.Gautham S.Raman, learned Standing Counsel (CMWSSB), who is taking notice for the respondents, would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 22.10.2024 will be considered by the 1st respondent on its own merits and in accordance with law, within the time fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.10.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
