ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) and Section 29(1) of NDPS Act 1985 in Crime No.257 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution that the petitioner along with other accused were found in illegal possession of 10.630 kgs of Ganja. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and a false case has been foisted against her. He submitted that the petitioner is not named in the FIR and the petitioner is sought to be implicated based on the confession of the co-accused. He further submitted that she will abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent would vehemently oppose stating that the petitioner was illegally found in possession of 10.630 kgs of Ganja. He would further submit that the petitioner has got one previous case to her credit.

5. Taking into account the nature offence and the fact that the contraband involved in this case is a huge quantity and considering the bad antecedent, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
