ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2024 and 25.10.2024 thereby directing the respondents to promote the petitioner to the post of Leading Fire man/Special Station Officer as per his original seniority anomaly and to regularise his service in the same post and to permit him to retire by availing all the benefits he is duly eligible at the time of superannuation which is due on March, 2025.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner joined the services of the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services as Fireman on 09.09.1996 and he has been in the said services for the past 28 years. At present, the petitioner being eligible for promotion to the post of Leading Fireman/Special Station officer. Therefore, he sent a representation on 07.09.2024 and 25.10.2024 to the respondents to promote him to the Page No:2/5
post of Leading Fire man/Special Station Officer and to regularise his service in the same post before his superannuation. However, the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the present writ petition.
3. Learned Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representations dated 07.09.2024 and 25.10.2024 will be considered by the respondents on its own merits and in accordance with law, within the time fixed by this Court.
4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2024 and 25.10.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight(8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
