This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records of the disciplinary proceedings vide R.No.8694/E1/2016 dated 29.08.2016 of the 5th 2/5

respondent and quash the same, in view of the order dated 18.08.2023 in W.P.No.24296 of 2023 and G.O.(Ms).No.81, Human Resource Department, dated 04.08.2022 based on petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2023 and extend all service and attendant benefits.

2. Questioning the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner in R.No.8694/E1/2016 dated 29.08.2016, it had been informed on behalf of the respondents that the disciplinary proceedings initiated under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Disciplinary and Appeal) Rules, 1973 had been dropped by the respondents. Therefore, the issue raised in this writ petition no longer survives for further adjudication.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. 13.02.2025 dpq Index: Yes/No 3/5
