PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to direct the Special Court/Principal District Sessions Court, Coimbatore to consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day in the event of surrender by the petitioners and seeks bail in Crime No.614 of 2023 pending on the respondent.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the Special Court/Principal District Sessions Court, Coimbatore, to consider the bail application of the petitioners on the same day in the event of surrender by the petitioners.

2.The petitioners herein seek bail in Crime No.614 of 2023 registered under Sections 294 (b) IPC and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 2015.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent. 4.Taking all the factors into consideration, if the petitioners surrenders at 10.30 a.m., and if the records are available, then the Special Court/Principal District Sessions Court, Coimbatore, may consider the bail application and dispose of on the same day. If for some reasons, the petitioners surrenders at later point of time and if the records are not 2/4

available, on the next hearing date on which the matter is adjourned, the bail application may be considered.
