ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to grant a general direction directing the 2nd respondent to file a final 1/3
report pertaining to the detention of the detenue by name Sulekha Chakraborty and in pursuance direct the IV Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai to dispose of Crl.M.P.No.448 of 2019 in Crime No.71 of 2019 on the file of the first respondent as expeditiously.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the first respondent police registered a case against the employer of the victim girl in which she has worked, in Crime.No.71 of 2019 under Sections 3(2)(a), 4(1) and 5(1)(a) of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act and produced the victim girl before the IV Metropolitan Magistrate at Saidapet, Chennai and sent to the custody of the third respondent Home. He further submitted that the victim girl is the petitioners' daughter and she was not involved in any immoral activities. He further submitted that the petitioner has filed Crl.MP.No.448 of 2019 before the IV Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Saidapet, Chennai, to release her daughter and the same is pending for P.O report and hence, he prayed to direct the second respondent to file a report immediately and also direct the IV Metropolitan Magistrate at Saidapet, Chennai, to dispose of the Crl.M.P.No.448 of 2019 in Cr.No.71 of 2019 as expeditiously.
3. Considering the aforesaid submission, the second respondent is directed to file a report within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter the learned IV Metropolitan Magistrate at Saidapet, Chennai, has to dispose of the petition within three days.
4. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
