ORDER

The Petitioner, viz., D. Thamburaj, was a tenant in respect of premises at No.12, Pillaiar Koil Street, Velachery Main Road, Madipakkam, Chennai-600 091. During inspection of the said premises on 13.08.2003 by the Officials of the Electricity Board, theft of energy was detected and a sum of Rs.94,524/- (Rupees Ninety Four thousand five hundred twenty four only) was levied as charges for the energy stolen and for compensation, which is impugned in this Writ Petition.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, it is submitted by Mr.R. Ramachandran representing Mr.S.K. Rameshwar, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the learned standing counsel appearing for the Respondents that after filing of the Writ Petition, the Petitioner viz., D. Thamburaj had vacated the said premises and subsequently, the landlord of the premises has come forward to pay the aforesaid dues amounting to Rs.94,524/-(Rupees Ninety Four thousand five hundred twenty four only) and that no other dues remains to be collected from the Petitioner as per the demand notice. A Memo dated 02.07.2018 has been filed to that effect.
