ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to pay compensation to Kutiyandavar temple measuring an extent of 3 acres of land in Survey No.196/1B out of hectares 2.22.0 in Panchagkuppam Village, Bhuvanagiri Taluk, Cuddalore District as per the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

2. Earlier the trustees and workshippers of Kuttiyandavar Temple had filed W.P.No.13779 of 2024 before this Court for the very same relief of compensation. This writ petition was withdrawn with the leave of the Court. Thereafter, the present petitioner, who is neither a trustee nor a Poojari in the 2/4

temple, has filed this writ petition for the very same relief on the ground that he is a devotee of the temple. The petitioner has now filed this writ petition in his capacity as a Devotee. He has not shown how his legal right or his interest has been infringed or threatened, nor has he shown that the temple and its management would be the parties aggrieved, more particularly when the earlier writ filed by the temple has been withdrawn. The petitioner has not spelt out as to how he is aggrieved. Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. 09.01.2025 Index: Yes/No Speaking order/non-speaking order srn To, 1 The Collector Cuddalore District, Cuddalore- 607001.
