O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to issue patta to the petitioner in respect of the property bearing Plot No.A-6, First Street, Lakshmi Nagar, Nanganallur, Chennai - 600 061, measuring an extent of 1 ground 2269 Sq.ft., (4669 Sq.ft.,) comprised in Survey Nos.2 and 3/1, situated at Thalakancheri Village, Alandur Taluk, Chennai District, within the Registration District of Chennai -South and Sub Registration District of Alandur, by considering his patta application dated 30.07.2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.07.2023, if the petitioner is otherwise eligible and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the abovesaid direction, The Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
