Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. This writ petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation dated 24.08.2023, wherein and whereby, she sought for issuance of a joint patta in respect of the properties bearing (i) New Survey No.168/7A, Old Survey No.168/7A, measuring an extent of 0.250 sq.mtr and (ii) New Survey No.401/29, Old Survey No.150/7A2(P) measuring an extent of 0.55 sq.mtr totally measuring an extent of 305 sq.mtr situated at Nenmeli Village, Thirukkalukundram Taluk, Chengalpattu District.
3. The main grievance of the petitioner is that even though the representation has been made on 24.08.2023, till date the respondents have not taken any action on the said representation. Pg.Nos.2/5

4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the matter, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Since the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition is for disposal of the representation, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.08.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the rival claimants / interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
