Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to conclude and pass final order in the disciplinary proceedings in vide Na.Ka.No.P.2/1242/2019 dated 15.07.2019 initiated against the petitioner based on the charge memo issued by the 2nd respondent within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to conclude and pass final order in the disciplinary proceedings that has been initiated against the petitioner.
2.The case of the petitioner is that he was working as Executive Officer Grade-I at Kambainallur Town Panchayat. He was placed under suspension pending grave charges contemplated against him and thereafter, he was served with a charge memo on 15.07.2019 under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules. According to the petitioner, the enquiry officer has been appointed and the petitioner has also given his explanation and till date no final orders have been passed. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking for appropriate direction.

3.Heard Mr.C.Mariappan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.V.Prabhu, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.
4.Taking into consideration, the limited prayer that has been sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to pass final orders in the disciplinary proceedings that has been initiated against the petitioner, strictly in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No Costs.
