ORDER

By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Mr. Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

2. The relief sought for in this writ petition is a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.07.2025.

3. It is stated by the petitioner that he was working as a Panchayat Secretary in Makkinampatti Panchayat, Pollachi South Union, Coimbatore District, since 15.02.2013. Based on an alleged complaint, an FIR was registered against the petitioner under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 as amended in 2018. Thereafter, he was suspended from service, vide proceedings dated 04.04.2025 issued by the 2nd respondent. Subsequently, he submitted a representation to the 1st respondent to consider his grievance for reinstatement of service, in the light of G.O.Ms.No.81, Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022. However, till date, no orders have been passed on the said representation. Hence, this writ petition. 2/5

4. Heard learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.07.2025 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.81, Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents did not raise any serious objection for the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

7. In view of the above, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.07.2025 in terms of G.O.(Ms).No.81, Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing the petitioner and aggrieved persons, if any.

8. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
